Punch Art: Blue and Magenta Instructions
By Anna Conrad

You need:

  • large heart - punch 2 in lt blue
  • large birch leaf - punch 2 lt blue
  • small egg (or balloon and trim off tie) - punch 4 lt blue
  • small heart - punch 1 in dk blue
  • white opaque writer
  • black pen
  • lt blue jelly roll (or rose pen for Magenta)
  • glue pen

Trim rough edges from birch punches.  These are ears.  Cut one egg in half...narrower end is mouth. Trim three eggs into a slight "L" shape, like puffy letters.  Flip opposite each other (one backwards L and one forwards) for the forelegs  and the remaining one is the tail.  With large heart upside down, glue two ear pieces to the heart point. Angle  them however desired for Blue's expression.  Glue mouth piece between  heart curves at the bottom.  This is the face piece. Turn remaining large heart upside down also and attach face to the point.   Place the two feet "L" pieces on lower heart so they are also sort of   between the heart curves, being sure to flip feet so they are pointing   outwards.  Attach remaining "L" to one side of the body for the tail.  Cut lower portion of small dk heart off so that only the curved bits are   left, but they are still attached together.  Glue to face for nose.  With white pen, form eyes and make a small curve on one side of the nose  for a highlight.  Use black pen for the eye dots.  Using lt blue pen,  make   spots randomly on entire body.

If making Magenta, use pink and bright pink for the paper and pink pen  for spots
