12x12 lightbox
Cut 4- 12 1/2" pieces from the 6" boards.

12x15 lightbox
Cut 2 12 1/2 inch pieces from the boards
Cut 2- 15 1/2" pieces from the boards

For either size box, Cut one 12" side to 4" and then angle the side pieces from 6" height to the 4" height. This will provide a slanted work surface that is easier to work on.

Nail or screw the wood together as shown below to form a 4-sided box with no bottom or top.

Drill 1" hole in the side of the box that will be the farthest away from you for an electrical cord. Install a fluorescent light fixture using nails or screws.   Target usually has fixtures that are made to install under a cabinet.  Mount the light about in the center of the wood so that it doesn't touch the Plexiglas or the table.

Purchase opaque/white Plexiglas to fit the top of the box.   You can install it using glue or clips to hold it in place.

Have fun!
